I ran home after stopping at the pharmacy and looked up Oxycodone on the internet. It was exactly what I was looking for and I have now been using it every month. I then have to wait another 3 weeks and my tolerance is pretty much back to zero by the time I get my next script. I this has helped me not get out of control, but I'm pretty sure that I am addicted because for those long days in-between I cant go a day without thinking about them and when I'm getting some next.
I usually start out with 4 or 5 pills mg but by the end of the bottle I have to use around 50 mg 10 pills to get the same effect. Now obviously 10 pills worth packs a walloping mg of acetaminophen and that is way too much for the liver to handle. I remedy this with the cold water extraction which despite the contradictory internet opinions, works quite well. Anyway now to the effects.
I usually start feeling something minutes after taking the drug orally. I will feel tightness in my head, like someone is gently pushing on my temples. It used to annoy me, but now I enjoy it because I know that it just means that the drug is working.
Gradually my mood starts improving and a start to get a stupid smile on my face. At around an hour in waves of tingling euphoria start washing through my body. It obviously is different, but somehow very comparable to an orgasm, or at least having sex. I have heard many people describe heroine this way which is why it baffles me that I can get it so easily.
I hated what I did to get my hands on more Oxycontin- steal from relatives, lie, buy pills from shady people But, behind their back and to myself I was a liar and pathetic. I had to write that to let you know where this addicition took me. If I went more then hours without crushing at least a 10mg most times it was two 20s for a 40mg dose into a fine powder and snorting it My arms would get so heavy and I would have absolutely no energy- Not enough to even walk up a flight of stairs.
After a full day, I would have zero energy to the point that driving took all my energy from me. After two days, the diahrrea was horrific, and would last for three to four days. A heavy cold like symptom as well with the first 5 days of withdrawal- constant running nose, and the diahhrea- Im talking like 20 times a day, absolutely no control over my function- Had to stay home, couldnt risk pure liquid shit all of a sudden running down the back of my pants It is sick and pathetic and thats what it brought me to.
The sad part is- I went through withdrawl at least four different times- I always went back after two months the first time, then after a week, then after a long weekend, then after a two week vacation to japan. I have finally cleaned up my act for good, although mentally I wish I could get more sometimes- I think OCs feel just so damn good- Now, onto the good parts about the drug When I take Oxycontin it lasts very long- the body high and mental effects last at least hours strong, and if taken at night, even the next morning I may have a nice lingering mild effect.
The body high is great. Every square inch of my body just feels great- warm, tingly, like a mild tingly body high from really great quality marijuana.
I get lightly itchy, and it feels good to scratch- especially the scalp. Mentally, I become a little sharper in low doses, cloudier in high doses. My energy levels skyrocketed- A speedy, productive buzz. I experimented with cocaine when I was a youth and it left this icky feeling like that drug which is how I knew it was having an addictive affect.
The oxy, if I am having low pain and use less, after about 10 hrs or after waking up after a long sleep I start to get some symptoms of mild physical withdrawal like hot flashes or cold sweats and crankiness, but it's much more manageable, especially taking Celexa and the muscle relaxant. The oxycontin does not make me feel high the first dose, the 2nd dose maybe slightly, like having a latte or cigarette, but nothing to write home about and it does help my pain as long as I dont tryto walk too much - I recently can walk unassisted to bathroom or across room or stand for up to 3 minutes.
The easiest way to see if you are addicted physically, is to stop taking the drug, and wait. If you are in pain anyway, you will feel this break through. But you will also experience withdrawal side effects, the most immediate are aches that have a different, druggy, quality than your "normal" pain, hot flashes and cold sweats, nausea, diareea, anxiety, trembling, esp crying for no reason. If you are on a timed daily dose then this doesn't have to be a problem, if you take as directed, but if you are experiencing withdrawal symptoms between doses, you should discuss these with Dr and he can either change the Rx to another narcotic you will tolerate better without causing addiction, or give an additional Rx that will mitigate these withdrawal side effects.
This hydro done just does not cut it. I take 4 per day and ibuprofen 3 times along with it. JU justme 3 Jun I'm sorry but this statement is completely inaccurate.
I will say I work in a pharmacy and that hydrocodone Vicodin, lortab, norco are opiates along with oxycodon percocet, etc and roxys, and many more like methadone.
AL alynnc 13 Jul hydrocodone and oxycodone are both opiate medications. A drug or other substance affecting mood or behavior and sold for nonmedical purposes, esp. I also take pain pills when needed.
